If your vacuum has lost suction or is not working as expected, this is often caused by a blockage or a maintenance issue rather than a fault. Please check the following before arranging a return or repair:
1. Empty the dust container – A full dust container can reduce suction or stop pickup performance. Empty the bin and ensure it is correctly refitted.
2. Clean the filters – Dirty or clogged filters are one of the most common causes of reduced suction or the vacuum cutting out. Remove the filters, clean them as instructed, and allow them to fully dry (usually 24 hours) before reinstalling.
3. Check for blockages – Inspect the hose, wand, and floorhead for any blockages. Remove any debris that may be restricting airflow.
4. Check the brush bar – Hair and debris can become tangled around the brush bar, affecting performance. Turn off the vacuum and remove any build-up to allow it to rotate freely.
5. Allow the vacuum to cool down – If the vacuum has overheated, it may shut off automatically. Leave it switched off for a period of time, then restart once it has cooled. In many cases, completing these steps will restore normal performance. Regular cleaning and maintenance will help keep your vacuum working at its best.
