If your toaster is not toasting bread evenly, try the following:
- Make sure the toaster is placed on a flat, stable surface.
- Check that the bread is a suitable size and thickness for the toaster slots.
- Place the bread centrally in the slot so it can be positioned correctly between the heating elements.
- Avoid putting very thick or oversized slices into the toaster, as these may not toast evenly.
- Check that the browning setting is the same for each slice.
- For 4-slice toasters, the heating elements are positioned slightly lower to help prevent overheating. This may mean the toast can appear lighter towards the top of the slice.
- Make sure the toaster slots are clean and free from crumbs or debris, as these can affect performance.
- Allow the toaster to cool before cleaning and never insert metal objects into the slots.
