If your vacuum suddenly stops during use, this is not usually a fault. It is often a safety feature triggered by a blockage or restricted airflow, which can cause the motor to overheat.
Before checking or cleaning the vacuum, switch it off and disconnect the charger.
- Check the battery: Recharge it if the battery level is low.
- Allow the vacuum to cool: If the motor has overheated, leave it switched off to cool for 1 hour, as advised in the manual’s safety section.
- Empty the dust tank: Remove accumulated dust and debris.
- Check for blockages: Inspect the hose or tube, inlet and brush roll for trapped debris. Ensure the brush roll spins freely.
- Clean the filters: Clean the filters as instructed in the manual. Any washed filters must be completely dry before refitting.
Once the vacuum has cooled, any blockages have been cleared and the filters are clean, completely dry and correctly fitted, try switching it on again.
