Regularly cleaning the filters on your Goblin cordless vacuum helps maintain suction and performance.
Cleaning the Inlet HEPA Filter
Clean the inlet HEPA filter about once a month, or more frequently with daily use or when vacuuming fine dust.
- Remove the dust tank: Switch off the vacuum, remove the dust tank and empty it.
- Remove the separator: Lift it out using its metal handle.
- Remove the HEPA filter: Turn the filter anticlockwise to release it.
- Remove loose dust: Gently tap the filter over a bin and use the supplied cleaning tool to remove fluff. Do not use sharp objects, as these may damage the filter.
- Rinse if necessary: If heavily soiled, rinse the inlet filter and separator under lukewarm running water until clean. Use water only, without detergent.
- Allow to dry: Air-dry for at least 24 hours and until completely dry. Do not use a radiator or direct heat.
- Refit the components: Twist the dry HEPA filter clockwise to lock it into place. Align the separator tab with the slot in the dust tank and push it fully down.
Cleaning the Exhaust Filter
Clean the exhaust filter every 3–6 months, or sooner if it becomes dirty.
- Remove the dust tank: Switch off the vacuum and remove the tank.
- Remove the filter cover: Lift the small handle on the cylindrical cover, twist anticlockwise and remove the filter.
- Rinse the filter: Gently rinse under cool running water. Do not wring or scrub it.
- Allow to dry: Air-dry for at least 24 hours and until completely dry before refitting.
- Refit securely: Ensure the filter and cover are correctly fitted before using the vacuum again.
Important:
- Never use detergent or cleaning chemicals on the filters.
- Never refit filters while they are damp or wet.
- Never operate your Goblin cordless vacuum without all filters correctly fitted.
