Weak suction can be caused by a full dust container, dirty filters, blockages or incorrectly fitted components. Regular upkeep and maintenance help maintain suction and keep your vacuum performing effectively.
- Switch off and unplug the vacuum before checking or cleaning any parts.
- Empty the dust container: Remove collected dust and debris, and ensure the container is fitted securely.
- Check the filters: Clean them according to your model’s user manual. If washable, allow them to dry completely before refitting.
- Check for blockages: Inspect the hose, tube, floorhead and airways for trapped dust, hair or debris.
- Check the brush roll: Remove tangled hair and debris, and ensure the brush roll is correctly fitted and can rotate freely.
- Check all connections: Make sure the hose, dust container, filters and attachments are securely fitted.
Once everything is clean, dry and correctly assembled, switch the vacuum back on and test the suction.
