If your vacuum keeps cutting out, it may have activated a safety feature to protect the motor from overheating. This can happen when a blockage restricts airflow.
- Switch off and unplug the vacuum before checking or cleaning any parts.
- Allow it to cool: Leave the vacuum to cool completely before restarting.
- Check for blockages: Inspect the hose, tube, floorhead and airways for trapped dust, hair or debris.
- Check the brush roll: Remove tangled hair and debris, and ensure the brush roll rotates freely.
- Clean the filters: Follow your model’s user manual and allow washable filters to dry completely before refitting.
- Empty the dust container: Remove collected dust and ensure the container is fitted securely.
Once the vacuum has cooled, all blockages have been cleared and the components are correctly refitted, try switching it on again.
