Using your cleaner correctly and cleaning it after each use helps prevent unpleasant smells, streaks and poor water pickup.
Using the Cleaner Correctly
- Suitable floors: Use on sealed hard floors only, such as suitable sealed wood, laminate, tile, marble and vinyl. Do not use on rugs, unsealed wood or delicate flooring.
- Cleaning technique: Move slowly in overlapping passes and use short bursts of spray.
- Handle position: Keep the handle within its normal working angle of 60°.
- Standing water: Do not use the cleaner to collect standing water deeper than 4 mm.
- Fill the clean water tank: Use clean tap water, or distilled water in hard-water areas. Do not fill above the valve line.
- Secure the tank: Close the cap securely and click the tank into place.
- Cleaning solution: Use only a manufacturer-recommended, non-foaming solution. Do not use hot water, alcohol-based, acidic, flammable or corrosive cleaners.
Cleaning and Maintenance After Use
After each cleaning session:
- Empty the dirty water tank to help prevent unpleasant smells.
- Clean the roller to remove dirt and debris that could cause streaks or poor cleaning performance.
- Use the self-cleaning cycle according to the instruction manual.
- Allow components to dry completely before reassembling or storing the cleaner, following the manual’s guidance.
Regular hands-on cleaning is still important, even when using the self-cleaning cycle. Always follow the instructions in your model’s manual.
